Argentina Freezes Chevron Assets

After months of Chevron’s unwillingness to pay up $19 billion for damages in the Ecuadorian Amazon, Argentinian judge freezes Chevron assets. We commend Argentina for siding with nature and human rights, as we can no longer allow corporations to choose profit over the health of people and planet. The Cofán community with whom we work has been affected, along with others in neighboring areas, by the contamination left by Chevron Texaco. Chevron continues to refuse to pay. Argentina’s action sends a message to ensure that the rights of nature and people are upheld. More >>
